Accessory Breast Removal

Accessory Breast Removal

Accessory breast is when there is additional
breast located elsewhere.
Nipples may or may not be on the accessory breasts.
Size may vary upon menstrual cycle,
and they may secrete breast milk
during pregnancy. Accessory breasts
can be formed anywhere along the mammary
glands starting from armpits.
Armpits are the most common places
for accessory breasts, and nipples are often
on the accessory breasts.

Surgical Method of Accessory Breast Removal

Accessory breast removal is relatively
simple with fast recovery.
We recommend breast examination including ultrasound
on accessory breasts to check risk for cancer although
it is very rare to have cancer on accessory breasts.
